Foram anunciados os vencedores dos Eisner Awards 2016 na San Diego Comic-Con. No que toca aos vencedores, este ano foram contempladas algumas obras como Southern Bastards, Man of Wrathe Star Wars. Todas as séries têm argumento de Jason Aaron. Southern Bastards conquistou ainda o Eisner de melhor série contínua.
O prêmio Melhor Adaptação de Outro Meio foi para os brasileiros Fábio Moon e Gabriel Bá por Dois Irmãos, baseado na obra de Milton Hatoum.
