2025 foi mais um grande ano para os RPGs japoneses e a Crunchyroll divulgou o ranking com os melhores jogos da categoria.
Após dominar o último ranking anual, a Atlus teve um ano mais tímido, com apenas dois lançamentos, deixando o foco em portar títulos para o Nintendo Switch 2.
Já a Square Enix teve mais um ano forte, com destaque para Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles e Dragon Quest 1&2 HD-2D remake, que aparecem no top 5.

Dentre os títulos que ficaram de fora do top 10, mas receberam menções honrosas estão Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak 2, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars e Lunar Remastered Collection.
